DENTISTRY IN 2025
A Closer Look at Our Philosophy
We understand that dentistry involves more than just procedures. It requires careful thought, empathy, and trust. That’s why we take the time to approach each patient with respect and a personalized mindset. Here’s how we think about caring for the people who walk through our doors.
A Glimpse Into My Dental Philosophy
To understand my approach to dental care, it helps to go back to where it all started—my own experience as a kid. In middle school, my mom gave me $2.25 each day for lunch. Instead of choosing the balanced school meals, I headed straight for the vending machines. Every day, I grabbed a can of soda, a pack of soft chocolate chip cookies (you know the kind—two oversized ones in a wrapper), and a roll of Life Savers. Because in middle school, fresh breath was non-negotiable.
Looking back, my daily lunch was basically sugar, more sugar, and a little mint to top it off. Not surprisingly, I was a skinny kid with a mouth full of cavities at nearly every dental visit. I didn’t floss. I only brushed in the mornings because my mom insisted.
That experience stays with me. It reminds me that good habits take time, and not everyone grows up with perfect dental routines. Today, I keep that perspective in mind when working with patients—offering care that’s not only effective but realistic, judgment-free, and built around everyday life.
Why am I sharing this? Because many patients come in feeling embarrassed about their teeth, not usually because of how they look, but because they know their dental issues are the result of their own habits or lack of care.
Here’s what I tell every patient: It’s okay.
That first appointment is your opportunity to start fresh. A clean slate.
Honestly, I’ve been there myself. I didn’t start flossing until college, when I began thinking seriously about a future in dentistry. I thought, “If this is going to be my profession, I should probably start flossing.” I didn’t enjoy it or fully believe in it at first—I just did it because it felt like the right thing to do.
Our Approach Is Straightforward
We don’t judge or lecture. Instead, we focus on patient education and practical care.
If your teeth are in good shape, we’ll help you maintain them. Prevention is simpler and more comfortable than future treatment.
If you’re dealing with discomfort, dental concerns, or worn-out work, we’re here to reset your dental health. We’ll guide you through addressing long-term issues and support you in building habits that help prevent problems down the line.
